With Digital Womb I created a digital hallucination that came closest to striking a balance between harnessing computer software for artistic purposes and letting that same software imprint its own stamp on a work of art. Continuing along that path, Abstract Ejaculation suggests the possibility of a sensuality born entirely through digital processing. Herein processed imagery both veers away from and homes in upon a woman's supple form. While some of the images directly celebrate the female body, other images take off in a completely abstract direction. Did the more concrete images spawn the purely abstract ones? Yes, I suppose to some degree they did, but I firmly believe something deeper was also going on. What surprised me was the level of passion I discovered in the strictly abstract images. Abstract Ejaculation consists of 357 frames. It lasts approximately 5 minutes and 20 seconds, then loops. A high-speed Internet connection is required and I recommend using Firefox as your browser. Even with a high-speed connection, due to its dense texture, the animation may initially run at a jagged rate. What I have learned from posting deeply textured animations in the Digital Hallucinations section of Illumination Gallery is that such animations often need to play through once before running at their proper rate. I do apologize for this inconvenience, but I feel it is necessary to constantly stretch the boundaries of the web as a medium.
