B-Movie Diva, my initial foray into the animated text form, pays homage to my friend Debbie Rochon. It is a fragmented animated text, divided into 10 sections possessing between 12 and 17 short animations that last from 6 to 20 seconds before looping. Unlike my later animated texts, herein animation and text are not integrated but play off one another separately. Occasionally differences between frames in an animation are glaring; mostly, however, they are subtle. Creating B-Movie Diva proved a long, grueling process, full of trial and error, spread out over a 2 year span. Due to the brevity of the animations, it makes little difference whether one views them via a low or a high-speed Internet connection. The animations should load and trigger almost immediately.
