With animation, more so than with comedy and every bit as much as with music, timing is paramount. Animations are defined by tempo. Flow even defines their texture. In my last animation, I slowed it all down because I was still getting a feel for Flash as an animation program. Of course, part of me enjoyed the slow pacing, for it allowed me to linger upon particular images. Here the pacing is much faster, much more in-tuned with the present day media environment, which is all about mutation & a lust for indelibility.
