Marcel Duchamp was one of those rare artists who influenced pop culture without the vast majority of pop culture consumers having the least clue as to who he was or the nature of his influence. Indeed, never has his influence been felt more than today. Duchamp’s artistry lay in blurring the distinction between the conscious creation of art and the living of one’s everyday life. The Internet has opened the door for anyone and everyone to blur that distinction, and I am not at all sure this is a good thing or a bad thing. I created this animation in tribute to Duchamp.
Animation duration: 22.6 seconds, before looping.
