As a digital artist, dependent upon algorithmic processes in order to generate imagery, I have developed an appreciation for tactility, for the craft of painting. Painters like Paul Cézanne possess the ability to stir deep emotion through the tactile act of manipulating paint on a canvass. What I am quite capable of doing digitally/algorithmically is to tap into Cézanne’s rich textures.
