Intro to Charles Bukowski's Hallucinatory Underbelly

Charles Bukowski raged against reality. His writing gave expression to the deep frustration of being forced to accept reality. Ironically, as a writer, Bukowski rendered his immediate environment like a human video camera. He described what was surrounding him, closing in upon him, stifling him. Embedded within this human video camera's vision lay a hallucinatory underbelly.
